Dr. Bharani is fellowship trained Minimally Invasive and Bariatric surgeon specializing in metabolic-bariatric surgery, foregut, hernia and complex abdominal wall reconstruction. Her clinical interests include the metabolic management of patients with end-stage organ disease and immunocompromised conditions, with a focus on optimizing surgical outcomes through multidisciplinary care. Dr. Bharani earned her medical degree with Academic Distinction from Weill Cornell Medicine–Qatar and completed her general surgery residency training at the University of Pennsylvania and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. During residency, she completed a dedicated Clinical Nutrition Fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where she developed expertise in nutrition support and perioperative metabolic care. Outside of medicine, she enjoys baking and cooking, playing table tennis, hiking, reading non-fiction, and spending time with family.
