Become a CWIMS “Ready to Act” Advocate
Join our network of individuals ready to act and advocate for gender equity for all. This network consists of university faculty, staff, students, alumni as well as community members, and key stakeholders from other institutions.
CWIMS “Ready to Act” Advocates will be the first to hear about our pilot programs and the first point of contact when exciting opportunities arise.
In order to keep your advocate status, you must engage with CWIMS at minimum, once annually. Engagement can include but is not limited to 1) attend one CWIMS event, 2) participate in one program, 3) provide written feedback when requested, 4) demonstrate your continued effort to advance equity in your sphere of influence.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org to inquire about becoming a “Ready to Act” Advocate.
Become a CWIMS Action Group Member
Action Groups fulfill an important role in progressing CWIMS initiatives specific to four areas of focus. Action Groups are made up of one leader and 6-8 action group members. Action Group members participate in monthly Action Group meetings, annual CWIMS events, steward initiatives, and occasionally assist the Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs with planning, policymaking, training, and serving on review committees. Action Group members were selected by nomination from Department Chairs and Department Heads in the Medical School. Future self-nominations and department chair nominations will be solicited on a bi-annual basis.
Submit a self-nomination today to become an Action Group Member.
