U of M Medical School Represented at AAMC GDI Conference

There was a strong presence from the University of Minnesota Medical School at the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Group on Diversity & Inclusion (GDI) Professional Development Conference held March 10-12, 2022, in Washington, D.C. Ana Núñez, MD, FACP, vice dean of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the Medical School and GDI Chair-elect, along with many students, staff and faculty from the Medical School moderated discussions, gave presentations and presented posters at the conference. 

For the first time, the Medical School’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion sponsored three Departmental Diversity Officers to attend the conference and reconnect with other leaders in DEI and to engage in candid and productive conversations about timely issues affecting faculty, graduate learners, administrators and professional staff in academic medicine and science.
