The inaugural Department of Pediatrics Faculty Recognition Event was held in 2015. Spearheaded by Dr. Julie Ross, Vice-Chair of Research and Professor of Pediatrics, the event acknowledged faculty scholarship and promoted the many opportunities and synergies that existed in the department and across the university. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive and several new faculty collaborations resulted.
Julie passed away peacefully on June 19, 2015. The event continues in the path that Julie started: to provide “concrete evidence of the impressive breadth and depth of scholarship and achievement of our faculty at all rank/track levels.”
The 2020 Julie Ross Faculty Recognition Event was held on Monday, February 24 at the Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum.
