A Forward-Thinking U of M Team Tries a New Approach in the Fight Against Childhood Obesity

Obesity is a condition that affects 80,000 children and adolescents in Minnesota. Exercise and diet alterations are typical lifestyle changes that are prescribed as a method of combatting obesity, but Aaron Kelly, PhD, and Claudia Fox, MD, MPH, are proposing that the solution to obesity in many children may be more than eating healthier and exercising more frequently.
