University of Minnesota physician Megan Oberle Bensignor, MD, MSHP, Assistant Professor in the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology recently did an interview with The Current radio station to discuss current research and clinical approaches to obesity. Dr. Oberle Bensignor is also a part of the center for Pediatric Obesity Medicine, focusing on diagnosis, treatment, and lifestyle management for pediatric patients with or that are developing obesity. Current research surrounding obesity has shifted causation instead from lifestyle factors alone to also focusing on one’s genetic predisposition.
