We are looking to describe the respiratory pathogens, and the unique genes they may possess, in the state of Minnesota and surrounding regions, in order to better inform the timely treatment of respiratory disease; as well as address the increased burden caused by respiratory pathogens within households residing in historically under-served communities. We also aim to increase the publics knowledge of proper use of antimicrobials, and increase public engagement in pathogen surveillance networks.
