Dr. Erin Cohen (she/her) is a pediatric palliative care and critical care physician who joined the faculty at U of M in 2025. She received her MD from Creighton University School of Medicine and completed pediatric residency at Comer Children's Hospital at the University of Chicago. She completed a pediatric critical care fellowship at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia and palliative care fellowship at Northwestern University in Chicago.
Her clinical and academic interests center around health equity, with a particular focus on improving communication and care delivery for children and families who speak a language other than English in critical and serious illness settings. She is passionate about integrating palliative care and critical care principles as well as advancing education in communication skills and culturally competent care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Cohen enjoys live music, hiking, trying new restaurants, and spending time with friends, family & her two
