Ramya Ramachandra, MD

Dr. Ramachandra completed her pediatric cardiology training and a fourth year of advanced cardiac imaging training at Stanford University School of Medicine. She received her medical degree from Bangalore Medical College in India, and then completed her pediatric residency at Driscoll Children’s Hospital, Texas A&M University.

Dr. Ramachandra’s clinical interests include fetal, transesophageal and transthoracic echocardiography. Her research interests have focused on developing normative data for right ventricular echocardiographic dimensions as well as echocardiographic screening of preterm infants with bronchopulmonary dysplasia to identify clinically unrecognized pulmonary hypertension prior to development of serious sequelae. She also enjoys teaching and being involved in medical education improvement projects.
