Health Equity Rounds
Health Equity Rounds is an interdisciplinary case discussion offered quarterly by the Department of Pediatrics with a focus on equity.
Health Equity Rounds is presented for three purposes:
- Describe systems, practices, and policies that have excluded and harmed communities based on race, gender, sexuality, ability, and language, and the impact on their health and health outcomes.
- Identify and analyze the effects of implicit bias and structural racism in clinical scenarios.
- Listen, learn, and connect with Community Advocates
All are welcome to join us in person in the Wilf Family Center Auditorium or virtually via z.umn.edu/HealthEquityRounds.
Lunch is provided for in-person attendees. If you are planning on attending in person, please register for the session as soon as possible.

Additional Information for Attendes
In order to receive 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™, physicians must text the session's code to (833) 616-1157 or log attendance using the CE Portal within 24 hours after the end of the session. Statements of Participation, which list accrued credits, will be distributed by email to attendees on an annual basis but can be checked by individual attendees in the CE Portal at their leisure.
In support of improving patient care, the University of Minnesota Interprofessional Continuing Education is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
The University of Minnesota designates this live education activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other health care professionals who participate in the CME activity may submit their Statements of Attendance to their appropriate accrediting organizations or state boards for consideration of credit. The participant is responsible for determining whether this activity meets the requirements for acceptable continuing education.
