Dr. Erick Jimenez is a pediatric cardiac electrophysiologist in Minneapolis, Minnesota, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders and arrhythmias in children, adolescents, and patients with congenital heart disease. He serves as Medical Director of Pediatric Cardiac Electrophysiology at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Jimenez treats a broad range of pediatric and congenital arrhythmias, from common conditions such as supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome, palpitations, and syncope to complex ventricular arrhythmias and inherited arrhythmia syndromes, including long QT syndrome and catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT).
His clinical expertise includes electrophysiology studies, catheter ablation of pediatric arrhythmias, management of complex congenital heart disease and adult congenital heart disease, and implantation and management of pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), and insertable cardiac monitors. He has particular experience with advanced cardiac rhythm therapies and emerging device technologies, including leadless pacemakers and extravascular implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (EV-ICDs). Dr. Jimenez completed his pediatric cardiology fellowship training at the University of Minnesota, followed by advanced fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiac Electrophysiology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. His clinical and research work focuses on improving the diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias in children and patients with congenital heart disease.
