Peter Gordon, MD, PhD

Dr. Peter Gordon is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Gordon cares for children, adolescents, and young adults with leukemia and other hematologic malignancies. He heads a laboratory focused on leukemia biology with an emphasis on how different microenvironments, including the bone marrow and central nervous system, influence leukemia biology and response to therapy. Dr. Gordon is also an Associate Director of the Medical Scientist Training Program (MD/PhD).

Dr. Gordon received his MD/PhD from the University of Chicago in 2004. He completed his residency in Pediatrics at Boston Children's Hospital and his fellowship in Pediatric Hematology, Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplant at Boston Children's Hospital and Dana Farber Cancer Institute. He served as an attending physician in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Boston Children's Hospital/Dana Farber Cancer Institute as well as a research fellow at both Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Children's Hospital for four years before joining the faculty at the University of Minnesota in 2014. Dr. Gordon is board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
