John Anaya II, MD

Dr. John Anaya II joined the University of Minnesota in July 2025.  He received his undergraduate degree at Penn State University before attending medical school in St Kitts at the University of Medicine and Health Sciences.  He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of South Alabama where he did a chief year before moving to New Orleans where he completed his General Nephrology and Transplant Nephrology fellowships at Tulane University.  He is passionate about his patients and about teaching, as he continues to work with residents and fellows, and is interested in the science and treatment of rejection in renal transplantation.
