Dr. Justin Hwang's laboratory will examine novel regulatory genes that drive malignant behavior of cancers utilizing high throughput functional and clinical informatics approaches.

Laboratory Focus

• Discover genomic and biological features that characterize therapy resistant endocrine cancers including prostate, ovarian, and breast.

• Develop informatics algorithms that interrogate -omics data from laboratory models and patient samples.

• Deploy unbiased genome-scale gene editing or informatics tools to identify novel target genes, biomarkers, or to stratify patients in clinical studies.

• Develop patient databases and user-friendly tools to facilitate translational studies on UMN cancer patients.
