Dr. Zhang is an advanced imaging cardiologist and translational scientist. He received his MD and PhD at the University of Louisville, and completed his training in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease at the University of Minnesota through the Physician-Scientist Training Pathway. He completed an additional year of advanced cardiovascular imaging training to enhance his clinical practice and research expertise with multi-modality imaging. Dr. Zhang’s research focuses on the bidirectional translation of patient-oriented and pre-clinical data to discover novel mechanisms underlying the pathophysiology of atrial myopathy and atrial fibrilation.
