Pedro Mogrovejo Pintado, MD

Dr. Pedro Mogrovejo Pintado is a board-certified nephrologist and kidney transplant specialist with clinical expertise in chronic kidney disease and kidney-pancreas transplantation. He joined the University of Minnesota in July 2025. He earned his medical degree from the University of Azuay in Ecuador and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Morristown Medical Center in New Jersey. He then pursued fellowship training in Nephrology and Advanced Renal Transplantation at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital – Columbia University. He is fluent in both English and Spanish. He is passionate about improving long-term outcomes in kidney transplant recipients and advancing equitable access to transplantation.
