Why I Chose the University of Minnesota Medical School
- First, in-state tuition pricing made the most sense financially.
- Second, the opportunity to train in a state I consider my home allowed me to stay connected to a place I care deeply about.
- Finally, UMN’s robust curriculum and research opportunities offered a perfect fit for my career aspirations, providing both a solid foundation in medicine and the chance to pursue my specific interests.
Medical Interests
My main motivation for becoming a physician is the integration of science, human connection, and service into a single profession. Growing up, I saw and experienced the profound impact that compassionate medical care can have, inspiring me to make that same difference.
Community Involvement
U of M’s commitment to community-based care and health equity within the curriculum and beyond stands out to me. Our school does an exceptional job of serving rural and underserved populations, which resonates with my desire to work in diverse clinical settings and address healthcare disparities.
