M1-M2 Research Meeting
The MSTP M1-M2 Research Meetings (12:15 PM in Room B646 Mayo Building) aim to promote the intellectual involvement of first and second year MSTP students in research, provide a venue for students to learn of the many exciting research opportunities at the University of Minnesota that might be suitable for subsequent PhD thesis research, and to develop key research and professional development skills that will promote a successful transition to the graduate phase and overall career development as a physician scientist. The meetings are a combination of research and professional skills development activities, discussion of past research accomplishments, opportunities for future thesis projects and career development by MSTP faculty preceptors, and student-led discussion of research articles from the scientific literature in a journal club format. All first and second year MSTP students are required to attend. See the MSTP events google calendar for scheduled dates.
