Pre-Award and Proposal Development Services | Training Grants
The Pre-Award and Proposal Development Services unit, located in the Medical School (MS) Dean’s Office, Office of Research provides administrative support to research teams submitting new or renewal institutional training grant applications (T32: Ruth L. Kirschstein Institutional National Research Service Awards). The University of Minnesota Medical School currently holds over 30 training grants across 12 departments, centers, institutes and programs. T32 training grants are led by faculty mentors and provide graduate students and post-doctoral fellows with funding, mentorship and professional development specific to their fields of interest. This webpage is intended to be a resource for faculty and staff research teams submitting new or renewal T32s.
If you're looking for help with diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) development, please contact the DEI office at: ms-odei@umn.edu. DEI resources will be available here as they are developed.

Table 6A Part I:
- Please go to the graduate programs web page. Select a particular program, say CMB, then navigate to “View Program Statistics” (link in center of page) then “Admissions.” You’ll get to the data for applications, application yield, admit pool, matriculation yield, matriculation pool, GRE scores, and previous institutions for the last 10 years. This also gives information on international (e.g., not T32 eligible) and minority students. There may still be blanks but in a pinch you can use this data and label missing pieces of information as “n/a”.
