Jill Amsberry, DO, M.Ed., FAAP
Dr. Jill Amsberry is a pediatrician, medical educator, and physician leader serving as Associate Dean of Undergraduate Medical Education at the University of Minnesota Medical School CentraCare Regional Campus St. Cloud. She has played a central role in developing the University's newest regional campus, the first new medical school campus established in Minnesota in more than 50 years. Through a partnership between the University of Minnesota Medical School and CentraCare, Minnesota's largest rural health system, the campus is expanding opportunities for medical education while helping address the state's physician workforce needs.
Dr. Amsberry completed her pediatric residency at the University of Iowa and earned a Master of Education in the Health Professions from Johns Hopkins University. She is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota Medical School and continues to practice pediatrics while leading medical education innovation across greater Minnesota.
Dr. Amsberry’s work focuses on preparing future physicians to serve rural and underserved communities through innovative educational experiences, leadership development, and strong community engagement. She is passionate about creating learning environments where students, faculty, health systems, and communities work together to improve health and strengthen the physician workforce for generations to come.

Work is underway to create a special learning environment for medical students at the new CentraCare Regional Campus in St. Cloud. Below is the timeline and progress as we move closer to welcoming our first year of medical students in the fall of 2025.
Campus Life
Nestled in the heart of Central Minnesota, the St. Cloud campus is located along the Sauk River near its confluence with the Mississippi River in St. Cloud. The educational experience offers small class sizes led by exemplary and experienced faculty, and the campus facilities, student housing and parking are all conveniently located for students.
