Christopher Fallert, MD
Regional Dean, CentraCare Regional Campus
Chris Fallert, MD, serves as the Regional Campus Dean for the University of Minnesota Medical School’s CentraCare – St. Cloud campus. A lifelong Minnesotan, Dr. Fallert earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School and completed his residency at the North Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program. He practices full-spectrum family medicine, including obstetrics, and has been a member of the Medical School faculty since 2008. Dr. Fallert brings extensive experience in medical education, having spent nine years as the Clerkship Director for the Woodwinds Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program. Previously, he practiced family medicine at a HealthEast clinic in Oakdale, Minnesota.
Jill Amsberry, DO
Dr. Jill Amsberry is a pediatrician who serves as the Director of Undergraduate Medical Education at CentraCare and the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Medical Education at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Dr. Amsberry completed her pediatric residency at the University of Iowa and is currently pursuing a master’s in health professions education at Johns Hopkins University. She is honored to support the rural mission of the CentraCare Regional Campus in St. Cloud—the state’s first new medical school campus in 50 years.

Our Road Ahead
Work is underway to create a special learning environment for medical students at the new CentraCare Regional Campus in St. Cloud. Below is the timeline and progress as we move closer to welcoming our first year of medical students in the fall of 2025.
Campus Life
Nestled in the heart of Central Minnesota, the St. Cloud campus is located along the Sauk River near its confluence with the Mississippi River in St. Cloud. The educational experience offers small class sizes led by exemplary and experienced faculty, and the campus facilities, student housing and parking are all conveniently located for students. And life in St. Cloud has something for everyone. From a vibrant local arts scene and premier music venues to regional sports and entertainment options, St. Cloud is a thriving community and economic hub of Central Minnesota. And for outdoor enthusiasts, there is easy access to incredible nature and outdoor activities in every season.
