Kelley earned her Bachelor of Science in Mortuary Science from the University of Minnesota in 2001. After nearly 11 years with a family-owned funeral home, she joined an organ procurement organization to advocate for a funeral director’s perspective in family donor care. In 2020, Kelley returned to her alma mater as a Teaching Specialist, instructing courses in Restorative Art, Embalming, Religious Rites & Customs, Microbiology, and Pathology.
A Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP) since 2021, Kelley is dedicated to continuous learning and bringing innovative educational opportunities to her students. Beyond academia, she serves as a student mentor through Continuing Vision and presents as a guest speaker at local, national, and international funeral service events.
