Lars Oddsson, PhD

Dr. Oddsson is involved in several research and technology development initiatives related to gait and balance function, including working with NASA on the development of countermeasures to effects of spaceflight on sensorimotor control. He serves on graduate student committees related to rehabilitation sciences. Dr. Oddsson has co-founded a medical device company, RxFunction, that has commercialized Walkasins, a wearable sensory prosthesis for individuals with peripheral neuropathy who present with balance problems. This is the first clinically available device of its kind representing a new category of wearable neuroprosthetics.
