Biography

Bio

Abi Moeller, DO, is an assistant professor at the University of Minnesota in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. She received her medical training at A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine where 3 years of her medical education were located at a Federally Qualified Health Center. She graduated from and was Chief Resident at the University of Minnesota Medical Center Family Medicine Residency program. She completed additional training at the University of Minnesota’s Addiction Medicine Fellowship Program in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She is a clinician at Community University Health Center, CUHCC, focusing both on primary care as well as diagnosis and treatment of substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. She enjoys partnering with patients to help them optimize wellness and meet their healthcare goals using a whole person approach incorporating mind, body and spirit. 

Creative Activity Summary

She enjoys hiking, running, being outside, spending time with her pets, puzzling, vegetable gardening and trying to keep her indoor plants alive during the Minnesota winter. 

Teaching Summary

She teaches a variety of learners at CUHCC including medical students and residents. She enjoys cultivating a collaborative interdisciplinary approach to learning.

Treatment of substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions, LGBTQ+ comprehensive care including hormone therapy and HIV prevention, osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT), primary care for all ages, integrating behavioral health and medicine
