Catalog Description: The Acting Internship in Interventional Radiology is available to students after they have completed an Interventional Radiology Clerkship. Students will integrate into the Interventional Radiology Division within the Department of Radiology at the level of an intern or junior IR resident. Under the close supervision of the attendings and senior residents, they will present patients at the morning rounds, consent patients for their procedures, assist with or perform basic procedures, write post-procedure notes and orders, and follow up on patients. Students will also do rounds on inpatients and see outpatients in the clinic. Within this portion, they will take patients' history, perform exams, and discuss a management plan with attendings and senior residents.
