Catalog Description:

The Rural Pathology Rotation is a four-week clinical elective designed to expose medical students to the practice of pathology in a rural healthcare setting. Students will gain hands-on experience with diagnostic pathology services while learning about the unique challenges and opportunities present in rural medicine. Emphasis is placed on the integration of pathology with other clinical services, resource management, and the role of the pathologist in a smaller, often underserved community.
