Catalog Description: Students will spend 4 weeks on vascular surgery services. Clinic, consultation service, and OR experiences will be available. A 2-credit option may be available by permission from the department.

MF-1068 UMMC - East Bank The spot at M Health Fairview is shared with SURG 7515 and will not be available if a student is scheduled that same period for SURG 7515. Priority scheduling will be given to students enrolling in SURG 7515. If you would like to schedule SURG 7562 at this site, please contact Yvonne Christensen (ychriste@umn.edu) for enrollment permission.

Required session attendance: If a student has taken SURG 7550 previously, there are no events held by the University. If they have not taken SURG 7550, they must attend one training on the first Tuesday of the clerkship.

Consent Requirement: Open to student scheduling. Four weeks is the default for this course; please email the course coordinator if interested in taking this course for two-weeks. Course coordinator permission is required to schedule this course at UMMC - East Bank (MF-1068) as this site share capacity with SURG 7515. Please contact the course coordinator for permission to schedule the course at this site.

Allow repetition of course: Repetition not allowed

Course equivalency: SURG 7552, but students who took SURG 7552 under a different specialty can take this course as well.
