Catalog Description: Students will spend 2 or 4 weeks on a vascular surgery service. This course is only offered for 4 weeks at the VA Medical Center (VA-1000) location. Clinic, consultation service, and OR experiences will be available.

MF-1068 UMMC - East Bank The spot at M Health Fairview is shared with SURG 7515 and will not be available if a student is scheduled that same period for SURG 7515. Priority scheduling will be given to students enrolling in SURG 7515. If you would like to schedule SURG 7562 at this site, please contact Yvonne Christensen ([email protected]) for enrollment permission.

Required session attendance: If they have not taken SURG 7400, they must attend training on the first Tuesday of the clerkship with the SURG 7550 students.

Consent Requirement: Open to student scheduling at all sites except for UMMC - East Bank (MF-1068). Students interested in taking this course at UMMC - East Bank must request permission to schedule by submitting the arranged electives form below.

Course equivalency: SURG 7552, but students who took SURG 7552 under a different specialty can take this course as well.
