Catalog Description:  

AI, wearables, and robotics are no longer on the horizon of medicine — they are already embedded in clinical practice. This elective prepares medical students to work confidently and critically across all three domains: AI-assisted decision-making, predictive modeling, generative AI, and clinical decision-support systems; sensor-based data streams, remote monitoring, and continuous physiologic data; and surgical, rehabilitation, social, and care robotics. Interpretability, bias, health equity, ethics, regulation, and implementation barriers are woven throughout. Delivered primarily asynchronously in a flipped classroom model with live expert panels, case discussions, and group presentations as anchor points, every module includes a core path and an optional "go deeper" extension for students who want to engage more technically or analytically.
