In celebration of Black History Month, we are continuing our "Where it Starts” series, a collection of personal stories that highlight some of the incredible accomplishments of the University’s Black community, featuring University of Minnesota faculty, students, and alumni. Each story reflects upon overcoming obstacles, building community, and finding purpose. The series is a collaborative project between University Relations and a team of content advisors from the University’s Black community.
