We have seven family medicine residency programs—five in the Twin Cities and two in Greater Minnesota.
Our fellowship programs include hospice and palliative medicine, sports medicine, behavioral health, clinical informatics, and human sexuality.
The department officially launched a Program in Sports Medicine in 2013, but has been a leader in primary care sports medicine education, research, and practice for more than 20 years.
Part of residency training, courses range in topics such as obstetrics, sexual medicine, sports medicine, and psychiatry. Selected courses are also open to medical students, community physicians, and health professionals.
We offer a couple of continuing medical education credit-bearing courses for family physicians.
