Explore the beauty (and fun!) of Minnesota

Hiking. Biking. Boating. Skiing. In every season, there's really no end to the fun activities that Minnesota has to offer. We're known for health and fitness, too. Minneapolis took fourth, and St. Paul took eighth place in the top ten fittest cities in America. Our residents and fellows enjoy a wide range of activities and interests, from participating in marathons to mountain biking through hundreds of miles of park trails.

Minnesota is a top state to raise a family, very affordable, and best state for Millennials. Five of our residency programs are in the Twin Cities, while three are in Greater Minnesota. You will find that our Greater Minnesota residency programs, based in Duluth, St. Cloud, and Willmar each offers its own unique sense of community with diverse populations, rural and urban practice environments, and local attractions. Trainees in our fellowship programs will learn in various clinical settings across campus and all over the Twin Cities depending on the program.

The University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus stretches across more than 1,150 acres in Minneapolis and St. Paul. Nestled around the scenic Mississippi River, the Minneapolis campus is within minutes of a sparkling downtown skyline. The nearby St. Paul campus is home to rolling green space and historic architecture. You'll find unlimited opportunities for entertainment, culture, and hands-on experience right outside your front door.
