Maintain the knowledge and skills required to manage potential emergencies during the perinatal period by taking the Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO®) course.
This course offers robust online learning modules and a full day of hands-on training in preventative care, practice concerns, and labor and delivery room emergency care. All hands-on training sessions are facilitated by approved ALSO® instructors.

The AAFP has reviewed ALSO Provider Course and deemed it acceptable for up to 8.25 Live AAFP Prescribed credit. Term of Approval is from 9/17/2021 to 9/17/2021. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
The American Academy of Family Physicians is approved as a Provider of continuing nursing education by the Kansas State Board of Nursing. This course offering is approved for 9.90 contact hours applicable for APRN, RN, or LPN relicensure. Kansas State Board of Nursing Provider number: LT0278-0312. This is an advanced level course and may not be suitable for all general continuing nursing education.
AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to to AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™ toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed credit earned must be reported as Prescribed, not as Category 1.
CME activities approved for AAFP credit are recognized by the AOA as equivalent to AOA Category 2 credit.
