The Colposcopy course targets residents determined to perform colposcopies and provides residents with a concentrated exposure to describe normal cervix physiology, management of abnormal pap smears, and practice grading lesions using colposcopic images. In the course, residents will participate in hands-on practice doing colposcopies using models, hands-on “megacolp” test to demonstrate the steps of the colposcopy procedure and hands-on practice performing endocervical curettage. Residents will complete a competence assessment through the ASCCP Residents’ Assessment of Competency in Colposcopy Exam (RACCE).

Registration

Registration is for non-University of Minnesota family medicine residents, medical students, and community physicians or healthcare professionals. Fees include tuition, syllabus, parking, and lunch.
