Medical Student Programmatic Course Awards

We offer course registration awards for MD and DO students to attend courses to learn alongside residents and faculty serving communities across Minnesota. This unique mix of participants, at various training stages and from different locations, brings a wide range of insights to each course.

One or two students who express a strong interest in attending the course and pursuing family medicine will be randomly selected to attend. Students receive free registration and up to $300 for travel expenses, covering airfare, mileage, lodging, and ground transportation. Itemized receipts can be submitted to [email protected]. Lunch, beverages, and parking are provided for in-person courses.

Course coordinators will inform learners of any pre-course work, typically 30 minutes to four hours, except for the ALSO Course, which requires nine hours.
