M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center - East Bank Introduces 35 New On-call Rooms

On March 15, construction was completed on 35 new on-call rooms for residents, fellows, and select providers that care for patients at M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center – East Bank. The on-call room area includes a new lounge area, an upgraded and expanded exercise room, locker rooms, gender neutral showers, and a new secured entrance. Individual call rooms also have a keycard entrance to maintain privacy and individual climate controls.

Investment in the new rooms demonstrates our commitment to providing a safe, clean environment for those who are taking care of our patients in an on-call situation. The new rooms are located on the first floor of the Phillips-Wangensteen Building, connected by tunnel to the medical center, replacing the 24 on-call rooms previously available within the Mayo Building.
