M Physicians Clinical Excellence Honors Program Recognizes 100+ Faculty of Medicine
“To which of your colleagues would you send your loved ones for care, and why?” In 2021, M Physicians launched the Clinical Excellence Honors program based on this question. This year, roughly 100 faculty of medicine were honored through the peer-driven recognition program for their commitment to delivering outstanding care.
M Physicians-employed clinical faculty were called by leadership in the fall to nominate their peers who demonstrate excellence in their daily clinical practice. Individuals were permitted to nominate up to three colleagues within their respective specialty and up to three colleagues outside of their specialty. In reviewing the nominations, “compassionate,” “dedicated,” and “thoughtful” were the words that colleagues used most in describing why one of their peers should be honored.
In January, recipients were notified that one or more of their colleagues nominated them for the Clinical Excellence Honor. Awardees were congratulated with a certificate of recognition, and the news was also shared with their department chair.
Awardees are encouraged to include this recognition in the Honors and Awards section on their CV as "Clinical Excellence Honoree."
Congratulations to all the DOM faculty who received the Clinical Excellence Honor in 2024!
