Benjamin Webber, MD Named Associate Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs

We are excited to announce that Benjamin Webber, MD has accepted the position of Associate Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs for the Department of Medicine, effective April 3, 2023. In this role, Dr. Webber will lead initiatives to improve clinical operations, quality and safety of care across the breadth of our clinical services and practice locations and will bring our perspective to various quality and safety initiatives in the Medical School, M Physicians and M Health Fairview. He will also serve as the Medicine CSU representative on the M Physicians Compliance and Risk Management Committee, so you can look forward to hearing important information from him in the near future!

Dr. Webber joined the Department of Medicine in 2018 and is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Hospital Medicine. He is also the Senior Medical Director of the East Bank Adult Medical/Surgical Units at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, where he has led many quality improvement initiatives, including system-wide sepsis and C. difficile improvements and a physician-led implementation of the General Inpatient Hospice program.
