David Ingbar, MD will be stepping down from his position as Director of the Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep (PACCS) Division to become the Inaugural Assistant Dean for Faculty Development and Mentoring for the Office of Faculty Affairs (OFA) in the Medical School, beginning October 1, 2022.

Dr. Ingbar has led the PACCS division through great successes and growth for over 20 years including national recognition in areas like interstitial lung disease, COPD, cystic fibrosis, lung transplantation, critical care medicine, and interventional pulmonology.

David and I overlapped as fellows at Yale, and one of the joys of my position has been the opportunity to reconnect and work together to advance the Division and Department. David, I am grateful for your wisdom and dedication and wish you all the best in your new position in the Dean’s office.
