On Sunday, the American Society of Nephrology (ASN) announced Dr. Mark RosenbergVice Dean for Education and Academic Affairs, as their new president. With more than 20,000 health professionals across 131 countries, ASN is the largest organization committed to treating and understanding kidney diseases.

Dr. Rosenberg is currently a professor in the Department of Medicine and serves as the Vice Dean for Education and Academic Affairs, where he oversees medical education from admissions through Continuing Medical Education. He also currently serves on the council of the American Society of Nephrology.

Dr. Rosenberg will assume his role on January 1, 2019, during the society's annual ASN Kidney Week, the largest gathering of kidney specialists in the world.
