Dr. Tasma Harindhanavudhi Receives Inaugural U of M Award for Academic Unit Service

Tasma Harindhanavudhi, MD, MS, an Associate Professor in the Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism (DEM), was selected as a recipient of the inaugural 2023 Award for Excellence in Academic Unit Service. This award is a collaborative initiative of the Provost's Office, the Faculty Consultative Committee, and the Faculty Senate.

Dr. Harindhanavudhi is one of three faculty recognized for exceptional service that has strengthened the functioning and climate of our unit.  She received $500 to be used for professional development or research.
 

In addition to her clinical and research work, Dr. Harindhanavudhi is the Wellness Director at DEM. She was appointed to this role in 2022, specifically to identify activities to improve the well-being of DEM's faculty and staff. Dr. Harindhanavudhi also mentors faculty and fellows in division-specific quality improvement projects.
