Primary care is often the first place people go when they need healthcare—whether it’s a checkup for a child, managing a chronic condition, or staying healthy as they age. As such, primary care providers are in a unique position to see health trends in their communities. Many providers value the opportunity to improve both their practice and patients’ health.

Research is a powerful way clinics can investigate how to improve care and patient outcomes. However, doing research in a busy primary care setting isn’t easy. Support and guidance from partners can make the work more manageable, impactful, and enjoyable. The Minnesota Primary Care Research Learning Network (PCRLN) equips and supports primary care providers to conduct meaningful research and drive impactful change in their communities.

PCRLN Vision: To foster a collaborative and innovative primary care environment throughout Minnesota where providers, researchers and communities come together to advance knowledge, address health care challenges, and improve patient outcomes through evidence-based research and continuous learning.
