DFMCH Promotion and Tenure

The Family Medicine and Community Health Promotion and Tenure Committee supports faculty in advancing academic rank across the Tenure, Academic, and Clinician tracks. Faculty considering promotion are strongly encouraged to review this Handbook and also to connect with one of our co-chairs—Dr. Kristen Mark (Tenure Track) or Dr. Steven Stovitz (Academic Track or Clinician Track)—or any P&T Committee member to discuss readiness. The Committee meets biannually (January and July) with candidates considering promotion within the upcoming year to review scholarly or clinical activity and provide feedback.

The following is our department's Promotion and Tenure Handbook and Toolkit. These are "living" documents which are updated regularly in response to institutional changes or faculty feedback. The handbook was last updated on July 18, 2025.
