Savannah Seeger, MD
Medical school: St. George's University School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies
Medical Interests: Full-spectrum family medicine, women's health, surgical obstetrics and reproductive health, emergency medicine, procedures, ultrasound, and inpatient hospital medicine.
Personal Interests: I love spending my free time with my husband, family, and friends. I enjoy being outside, spending sunny days on the lake, hiking, fishing, and snowboarding. We are a big hockey family, and I have played all my life. Go, Wild! I also like trying new restaurants and new foods, coffee shops, traveling, and reading a good book.
Why Grand Itasca Rural: I chose the Grand Itasca Rural Family Medicine Residency Program for the robust full-spectrum family medicine training. After spending so much time away from friends and family, I was looking to continue my medical training in my home state, and I am so happy to be back in Minnesota. I have always had a passion for rural medicine, and I am so excited to give back to this community.
Career goals: To practice full-spectrum rural family medicine in northern Minnesota.

Medical Interests: Full-spectrum family medicine.
Personal Interests: Spending time with my growing family and sharing my interests with them as well as coffee, sailing, sauna, and travel.
Why Grand Itasca Rural: The Grand Itasca Rural Family Medicine Residency Program provides a unique opportunity for residency training here in Minnesota. The 1+2 urban-to-rural model provides a solid foundation of full-spectrum training and skill development in Minneapolis-St. Paul with the UMN Woodwinds Family Medicine Residency Program during year one that I can build on with the transition to training in an idyllic setting of the North Woods of Minnesota (in Grand Rapids at Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospitals for the second and third years of training). I am excited about this new program as the next iteration of family medicine training here in my home state.
