Alexis Serrano, PhD, LMFT, is a licensed marriage and family therapist and the Behavioral Medicine Faculty Director for the Willmar Rural Residency Program. Dr. Serrano received her doctoral degree in Medical Family Therapy from East Carolina University, completing her pre-doctoral internship at UT Southwestern's Family Medicine Residency in Dallas, TX. Dr. Serrano is passionate about incorporating behavioral health services into medical settings, providing contextually and systemically considerate care to patients of all sociodemographic backgrounds, and improving medical education using interdisciplinary teams and methods.
