Drs. Pratt, Thomas Receive CWIMS Award for Advancing Gender Equity and Inclusion in Medicine and Science

The CWIMS Leadership Award for Advancing Gender Equity and Inclusion in Medicine and Science Fields was presented on February 18, 2021, to Rebekah Pratt, PhD, and Rebecca Thomas, MD, MHS.

This award recognizes an individual within the Center for Women in Medicine and Science Action Groups who has made significant contributions to the advancement of gender equity and inclusion at the University of Minnesota, Medical School. 

Recipients' contributions include expanding knowledge about and/or opportunities for women and people who are transgender and gender-diverse in medicine and sciences, positively influencing the careers of women and people who are transgender and gender-diverse in medicine and sciences, providing mentorship to increase the awareness of the need for women and people who are transgender and gender-diverse in medicine and sciences, and serving in an outstanding and/or leadership capacity within the Center for Women in Medicine and Science.
