Dr. James E. Rubin Medical Memorial Award

In loving memory of Jim Rubin, his family and friends established the Dr. James E. Rubin Medical Memorial Award as an endowment of the Minneapolis Jewish Federation’s Jewish Community Foundation. One $1,000 award is presented each year.

The fund serves as a living legacy to Jim’s memory and the values he lived by. He was dedicated to the practice of medicine as a healing art and skill. His patients considered him a friend—not just their doctor. He gave of himself and adhered to the most stringent medical ethics. Knowledge, compassion, and humor characterized his sixteen-year practice of medicine. Although he died at age 46, he accomplished much.
