Roza Steer Breast Cancer Research Award

Applications are invited for the Roza Steer Breast Cancer Research Award, which recognizes outstanding basic or clinical research in the field of breast cancer by a medical or graduate student.

Through this award, Randolph C. Steer and his brothers Clifford J. Steer, M.D., and Reginald D. Steer wish to honor their mother, Mrs. Roza Steer.

Application process

Appropriate applications include:

  • Completed nomination form;
  • Cover letter outlining the nature of the research;
  • Research paper;
  • Letter of sponsorship from a member of the faculty

Eligibility

Graduate or medical students enrolled at the University of Minnesota Medical School whose research focus is breast cancer are eligible to apply. The Medical School will coordinate the selection process. The Medical Education Honors and Awards Committee will select recipients. The award will be presented in the spring and consists of a $1000 award and certificate.
