Dr. Jamie Santilli provides clinical ambulatory primary care services at the University of Minnesota M Health Clinics and Surgery Center (CSC) and the Primary Care Clinic (PCC). She also has been a member of the University of Minnesota Medical Candidate Admission committee since 2010 serving a leadership role as Co-chair from 2015-2017. Jamie's work and area of interest include clinical prevention, women's health, and primary care. Previously, she worked as a faculty member at San Francisco Family Medicine, University of California.

Academic Interests and Focus

Medical Student Undergraduate Education: Essentials of Clinical Medicine (ECM) 2012 to current: small group facilitator 1st-year medical education pre-clinical course introduction to physical exam skills, communication skills, ethics. In this role, she also works in the Interprofessional Education Resource Center (IERC) with patient educators supporting their training for medical student clinical skills in medical communication and physical exam skills. Foundations of clinical thinking (FCT) 2012 to current: small group facilitator case-based learning pre-clinical integrating case-based medical decision making, point of care resources, with an introduction to team communication, differential diagnosis, and summary statements. Physician and Society Year 2 Course director 2007-2012 medical humanities preclinical course introducing medical students to preclinical topics including ethics, medical decision making, prevention, health improvement /community integration projects, the physician’s role in society, Integrative Medicine, and Law & Medicine. Family Medicine Resident Graduate Education: Family Medicine Core Faculty University of Minnesota St Joseph’s Program 1995-2007 ambulatory and hospital clinical care including obstetrics and primary care procedures, clinical ambulatory care precepting faculty 2007-current.
