Kathryn Pendleton, MD

Dr. Katie Pendleton is a Minnesota native who joined the faculty at the University of Minnesota in 2017. She is trained in pulmonary and critical care medicine and practices in both arenas by seeing patients in the ICU as well as general pulmonary clinic. Dr. Pendleton's research interests include quality improvement, implementation science, and outcomes research in ICU medicine and medical education in the ICU setting.  She is specifically interested in improving practices surrounding management of sepsis and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and is also involved in research that seeks to optimize how critically ill patients transfer between hospitals. Dr. Pendleton is Medical Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unity (MICU) at the MHFV University Hospital and is also a Core Faculty Member for the Internal Medicine Residency Program.
