Biography

Bio

Dr. Tjorvi Perry completed his residency in anesthesiology and fellowship in cardiothoracic anesthesiology at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and Harvard Medical School in 2007. He also completed a Master's Degree in Translation and Clinical Research at Harvard Medical School in 2009. In 2011, he joined the Minneapolis Heart Institute, and returned to academic medicine in 2018 as the Academic Director of Cardiothoracic Anesthesia and the Adult Cardiothoracic Fellowship Program Director in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Perry's overarching professional objective has been to improve clinical, operational and financial outcomes by identifying and optimizing variability in clinical care delivery and operational efficiency in and around the cardiac operating room.

As an associate professor of anesthesiology at the University of Minnesota, he is committed to growing cardiovascular research and the clinical fellowship program that will serve as a foundation for meeting the Institution for Healthcare Improvement's Triple Aim of the most up-to-date and cost-effective care for the patients in our community.
