Details

Catalog Description:  This course focuses on the management of gynecologic oncology patients. Students will serve as junior interns, work-up cases and participate in rounds and case discussion conferences. It is recommended that students take this course in Periods SP3 or SP4 of year 3 or during year 4.

 The majority of placements for this course are at UMMC. Students placed at other sites (see below) will be contacted by the course coordinator after the drop/add deadline passes.

Ambulatory: No

Typical weekly schedule/Delivery Mode:   Students will round each morning, Monday through Friday, then be assigned to OR, Unit 5C, or clinic.  They will attend weekly didactic conference.  Students will round one or two weekends during the rotation.

Direct patient care:  Yes
